A median is the middle of every test run in the place that quarter: half the lines are faster, half slower. Cities usually beat the national number; islands and hill towns usually do not. "Work from it" is this site's own line — 150 Mbps down, 50 up, under 30 ms — for a household on calls all day; one person needs far less.
