Excellent and cheap
Excellent and inexpensive. Taiwan’s national health system is one of the best regarded anywhere, and visitors pay modest fees at hospital outpatient departments without an appointment. English is spoken at the major hospitals.
Dengue occurs in the south in summer. Typhoons between July and October, which are announced days ahead and shut the island for a day at a time. Earthquakes are frequent and buildings are engineered for them.
