Very comfortable in the village. The mountain is the thing: altitude, weather, and paths that are obvious in sun and not in cloud. The highway is closed by snow and avalanche in winter, sometimes for days, and the Delica drivers on the church road are the local hazard.

Very comfortable in the villages, which live by hospitality. The mountains are the care: the Ushguli road floods, the trek crosses rivers, and the weather at 2,000 metres turns in an hour. Take a guide for anything beyond the marked trail, and cash — the one ATM empties.

Very comfortable, and quiet after ten. The wall walk has drops without railings and the wine tastings are generous — the two together are the local hazard. The Tbilisi road is fast and the marshrutka drivers on it faster.

Comfortable and unhurried. Taxis at the airport overcharge; use Bolt or the bus. The canyons have wet stone and no railings in places, and the caves are cold — a jumper in July. The street dogs are friendly and everywhere.

Safer than most European capitals, and comfortable to walk alone at night. Taxi overcharging off the app is the common complaint. Drivers here are genuinely aggressive and the pedestrian crossings are decorative — use the underpasses. Do not travel to the South Ossetia or Abkhazia boundary lines.
