Comfortable and relaxed. The old town steps are steep and unlit; the big beach has strong wind and a current at the river mouth; the salt pans are walked at your own risk on the dykes. Ada Bojana has a naturist section, well signed.

Very safe, with almost no crime against visitors. The dangers are the roads — the Lovćen serpentines have twenty-five hairpins and no barrier — and the walls, where the steps are worn smooth and there is no railing on the drop side. Do the climb early: there is no shade and no water.
