Single-track roads and unfamiliar driving on the left cause most visitor accidents. Midges from late June to August are not dangerous but will end an evening outdoors.

The Anglican church is established by law with the monarch at its head, while actual attendance is low. Cathedrals often charge entry but are free during services.
